Styled Beach Wedding Photo Shoot

This shoot took place at Camps Bay beach, early am on a Sunday morning. Again a model that responded to my request for couples for building my wedding portfolio. I placed so much pressure on myself to gather as many shoots as possible, to make sure my portfolio book would have only the best in it and this shoot was just the first of three styled wedding shoots that I have organised for my portfolio. My aim was to show everyone and myself that I can capture beautiful moments even when they don't include a horse. This photograph above is one of two of my favorite photographs that i captured during this shoot, the other is in my portfolio.
This beautiful model and her boyfriend were two of the easiest models I could've asked for for my first styled wedding shoot. She luckily had a beautiful dress, veil and fantastic make-up skills and He a dashing suit. This simple, yet exquisitely beautiful dress and veil(which she constructed herself) suited the soft light of the early morning perfectly. Camps bay beach was quiet and peaceful, with only a few early morning dog walkers about. We didn't need to wander far in order to get a big variety of shots on the beach, near the water and on the rocks.
This was my third shoot with my new camera equipment and I felt that the difference between this shoot and the last shoot I had used it for was massive. I had a far better handle on it and even though i was working in very low light, my camera worked well for me and resulted in many absolutely gorgeous shots for my portfolio. The soft blue-ish light doesn't often work well with wedding shoots, but it suited the veil and feel of this couple so well. Calmly in tune with each other and not to mention incredibly helpful in terms of helping me learn how best to pose my models and position myself accordingly, this couple was a dream to work with and for the most part the photographs speak for themself in terms of the experience I have gained since my journey began with Portfolio Shoot 1.
I have chosen three absolutely stunning photographs from this shoot for my portfolio book and I think they are uniquely mine and a fantastic start to my wedding photography career. Thank you to this amazing couple for a sublime shoot! :)
